The Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Division encompasses 1 imaging room and 2 treadmill rooms located on the 1st floor of the Ross Heart Hospital. The Nuclear Medicine technologist works closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical scientists to provide high quality imaging for the care and treatment of our patients. Position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine In vivo and In vitro procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation (including SPECT and PET), accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement, and provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic and therapeutic interpretation, under the direction of the Cardiologist, and the Imaging Manager. Minimum Qualifications
Certification and active registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). Licensure in Radiologic Technology (Nuclear Medicine) by the State of Ohio Department of Health. Graduate of an accredited N.M. program. ARRT-Radiography preferred.
