Summary: Senior electrical designer experienced in developing design packages for electrical and control systems in coordination with an experienced team of electrical drafters, designers, and engineers for pipeline facilities and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation V8 or newer, and other software programs in a fast-paced project-centric environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and review design packages including equipment layout plans, conduit and cable schedules, hazardous area plans, grounding plans, and wiring diagrams for various industrial facilities with minimal supervision.
Ensure compliance and safety by proficiently applying standards such as NFPA 70 NEC, API RP 500 during design package development and review.
Work on Low & medium voltage electrical infrastructure, utilizing Control Logix PLC, and develop loop drawings for similar PLC platforms.
Create drawings and documents using advanced features in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation V8 or newer.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and deliver design packages on time under tight deadlines.
Adhere to internal and external drafting and design standards to ensure high-quality work.
Requirements:
Formal training and certification in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation V8 or newer.
Minimum of 10 years of professional full-time design experience in a 3D environment within AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation.
Experience coordinating between drafters, designers, and engineers across multiple disciplines including civil and piping.
Preferred experience in electrical and controls within the midstream oil and gas industry, including meter stations, pipeline interconnects, compressor stations, storage terminals.
Proficiency in grounding plans, conduit & cable schedules, process & instrumentation diagrams, and working with brownfield and greenfield projects.
Motivated, proactive, with good communication skills and attention to detail.
