Order Analyst
to manage and monitor all customer orders that are placed on hold. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and timely order processing by identifying the root causes of holds, coordinating resolution efforts, and reporting on trends and key metrics. The ideal candidate will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service teams to drive issue resolution and improve order cycle efficiency. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities: Monitor Order Holds: Review all customer orders on hold daily (system or manually flagged). Categorize holds by type (e.g., credit, pricing discrepancy, missing data, stock availability). Investigate reasons for order holds by collaborating with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Logistics). Escalate complex or unresolved holds to the appropriate teams for timely resolution. Reporting & Communication: Generate daily/weekly reports summarizing: Total orders on hold Aging of held orders Hold reasons Resolution trends and performance Share reports with Sales, Operations, and Leadership to ensure visibility and accountability. Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues and propose corrective actions or process changes to reduce order holds. Support the implementation of improvements in order entry, data validation, and communication flow. System Accuracy & Documentation: Ensure order status and hold reasons are accurately updated in the ERP system (e.g., SAP). Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for held orders and their resolution. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in order management, sales operations, or customer service. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar required. Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a plus). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
