Tax- Business Tax Services – Private Tax Partnerships – Manager The opportunity: EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on serving privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. Working with high-growth private companies, you’ll engage in technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, with support and training from experienced colleagues. There are opportunities to progress to senior manager. Your Key Responsibilities
Support our senior managers through partners in providing tax services. Balance time between compliance and planning, interacting directly with clients, with a focus on flow-through entities (i.e., partnerships). Develop into a trusted advisor and role model across multiple teams. Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting). Provide tax research, draft memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers. Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals to build client relationships. Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs to tailor services. Explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain and share up-to-date technical knowledge and best practices. Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the tools to excel. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. To qualify for the role, you must have: A bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Willingness to work in a balanced hybrid environment and to travel as needed. Ideally, you will have: A commitment to continuing your learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $106,500 to $195,100 (NYC Metro Area, WA, CA: $127,700 to $221,700). Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off. Hybrid model: most client-serving roles involve working in person 40-60% of the time.
