Job Description
Professional level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion, partnering with the GM to manage team members. Requires expert automotive system and parts knowledge, sourcing from multiple channels, and directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Full‑time, in‑store role.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience for commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and development for team members
Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English; Spanish a plus; build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide; use whole numbers, common fractions, decimals)
Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience A minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability with experience in customer transactions. Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and achieving goals.
Education High school diploma or GED.
Certificates ASE Certification preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing; talkable and hearing ability; use hands and fingers; reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision: close, distance, color, depth perception, focus adjustment.
Work Environment Primarily indoor; occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions. Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration; moderate noise level.
Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
