Job Description

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The role is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth, and partners with the General Manager to manage team members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and part sourcing, with ability to direct drivers for timely and accurate delivery. Full‑time position.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain commercial customer relationships.

Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers.

Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives.

Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members.

Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs.

Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved.

Maintain commercial stocking programs.

Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers.

Secondary Responsibilities

Maintain core bank and commercial returns.

Maintain commercial credit accounts.

Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage.

Essential Job Skills and Success Factors

Friendly communication.

Ability to locate and stock parts.

Safety knowledge and skills.

Operating inventory systems and store equipment.

Parts and automotive system knowledge.

Operating POS and parts lookup systems.

ASE P2 certified or ASE‑ready equivalent.

Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability.

Advanced selling skills for commercial customers.

Ability to multi‑task and stay organized.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability.

Strong verbal and written communication in English (Spanish a plus).

Reading and interpreting technical documents, safety rules, parts catalogs.

Simple correspondence writing.

Ability to use basic math accurately.

Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.

Strong organizational skills.

Understanding of commercial profitability concepts.

Ability to work varied days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Prior Experience A minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and experience in fulfilling customer transactions. Formal or informal team‑leadership experience.

Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED required. ASE certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment The role involves walking, standing, manual handling up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Work may occur indoors and sometimes outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical shock, vibration, and moderate noise levels.

Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
