
Professional Level Sales Position – Commercial Parts Pro
Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth. Partners with the GM to manage team members and provides expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. This full‑time role requires sourcing from multiple channels, directing drivers for timely delivery, and maintaining commercial stocking programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of team members
Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills Necessary for Success as a Commercial Parts Pro
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Execute written, oral, or diagram instructions accurately
Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately
Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts and pricing discount processes
Work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience That Sets a Commercial Parts Pro up for Success
Minnimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience (preferred)
Proven sales ability with past experience in customer transactions
Formal or informal team‑lead experience, supervising daily tasks and achieving goals
Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE Certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing. Requires handling or feeling with hands/fingers, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Requires close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment Primarily indoor with occasional outdoor exposure. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
