Professional, highly technical, and responsible administrative work in designing, drafting, and producing construction documents (plans and specifications) and as-built record drawings for utility, roadway, marine, and other horizontal projects. Performs duties related to design, construction inspection, and project management of Town horizontal and marine assets projects. Conducts research and analysis, documents existing conditions, assists in survey data importing, produces AutoCAD documentation, and supports drafting functions. Minimum Qualifications
Formal education/degree in AutoCAD design, Engineering, GIS, or related field preferred, with a Bachelor’s Degree most desirable; over seven years of experience designing horizontal projects using AutoCAD; thorough knowledge of construction practices; or equivalent education and experience. Class D driver’s license required. Additional Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D AutoCAD. Knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, methods, and techniques of public works construction. Familiarity with relevant regulations governing construction, wastewater, water treatment, and conveyance. Proven ability to design large-scale complex projects, interpret plans, inspect construction, and collaborate effectively with contractors and teams. Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, and engineering design software. Team-oriented attitude. Compensation & Application
