Job Summary
This role will support Custom Engineered Product Development in both Liquid Cooling and Air Cooled product families for Hyperscale customers. Our focus is to develop optimized solutions using industry standards and best practices, following design support from cradle to grave. There is an immediate need and great opportunity to support the market shift as all major players race in the AI domain.
The Mechanical Engineer will perform mechanical engineering work, covering product engineering and product development. This role applies design engineering principles, manages assigned portions of product development projects, and may lead projects through completion.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop product requirements based on customer needs.
Analyze systems using engineering tools such as FEA, analytical formulas, and benchmark designs.
Conduct sizing and optimization exercises for pumps, valves, and flow control devices.
Familiar with piping layouts, design, and material selection, including PVC, stainless steel, copper, HDPE, etc.
Utilize DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve design quality and reliability.
Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Ensure complete and accurate documentation for designs moving into commercialization.
Work with operations to design solutions compatible with current manufacturing capabilities.
Develop advanced designs in collaboration with operations to produce high-quality, value-based solutions.
Coordinate with sales and service to improve current designs and incorporate future needs.
Mentor junior mechanical engineers and serve as an example.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Position Qualifications:
Requirements:
BSc in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent engineering experience.
3-5 years of engineering experience, HVAC experience preferred.
CFD experience preferred.
Self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
P.E. certification is a plus.
MSME certification is a plus.
Skills in SolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCAD, Revit.
