
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Position is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth, and manages team members in partnership with the GM. The role requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, and the ability to source from multiple channels including special order, FDO, and second source.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day-to-day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for team members
Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are achieved
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust)
Strong verbal and written English communication skills (Spanish a plus)
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
Execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition and market opportunities
Work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience
Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred
Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfilling customer transactions
Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and achieving goals
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or GED
ASE certification preferred but not required
Physical Demands The job requires walking, standing, speaking, hearing, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Loads of up to 50 pounds must be lifted frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment Work is primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and vibrations. Working near moving mechanical parts, high places, hazardous chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and moderate noise levels.
Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
