Overview
This position assists the Maintenance Safety Manager with vendors and RJW Logistics contract mechanic in addition to maintaining all company equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts. This role reports to the shift supervisor.
Schedule Schedule/Shift:
Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM ($20/hr)

Responsibilities
Assist the Maintenance Safety Manager with vendors and RJW Logistics contract mechanic in addition to maintaining all company equipment including tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc.; this position will report to the shift supervisor.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management and problem solving skills.
Superior customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations.
Professional verbal and written communication.
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
General computer knowledge
Ability to work independently
Ability to be on-call for responding after-hour emergencies
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
Qualifications
Maintenance: 2 years
Plumbing: 2 years
Electrical: 2 years
Appliance repairs: 2 years
Valid Illinois driver’s license
Electric pallet jack (EPJ) experience is required
Cherry picker (high lift)/scissor lift experience is preferred
Education and/or Experience Required
High school or equivalent
Language
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
