Job Overview
T-Mobile's Corporate Strategy & Analysis team is an internal consulting team that works with executive leaders from across the company. Leveraging deep problem solving skills, the team delivers insights and helps leaders make critical strategic and operational decisions. This role coordinates and owns workstreams on projects that tackle complex and ambiguous problems and drive transformational change (e.g., Sprint merger), create new businesses (e.g., Home Internet), and bring innovation to T-Mobile's customers (e.g., Binge On). A Sr. Corporate Strategy Manager plans projects across multiple workstreams, performs analyses, and works with senior decision makers to turn insights into decisions. Job Responsibilities
Synthesize recommendations and understand their impact on the business. Perform a leading role on projects, working closely with internal clients to understand key business issues and structure problem solving approaches. Structure analytical problems, extracting and analyzing data. Oversee development of financial and other decision-making models. Build financial and other decision-making models. Construct executive level presentations and present complex analytical findings in clear, concise, and decision-impacting manner. Work with client organizations to build consensus and motivate change. Coordinate cross-functional activities, such as analysis for CS&A input and message development. Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to enhance decision making across a range of options. Provide professional development guidance for Corporate Strategy Managers and Sr. Corporate Strategy Analysts. Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree Business (Finance, Accounting), Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields (e.g., Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences) or equivalent experience. (Required) Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration or quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Operations Research). (Preferred) 7-10 years Corporate Strategy related experience, including experience requiring quantitative analysis Required 2-4 years Management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Problem Solving - Consulting-style problem solving that can break complex ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach; structuring multiple workstreams and identify interdependencies. (Required) Analytics - Oversee and perform broad array of analytic capabilities: descriptive analytics on big data sets, predictive analytics, complex modeling, etc. (Required) Communication - Build logical narrative structures independently tailored to executives and create compelling visualizations (Required) Financial Analysis - Proficiency with reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements (Required) Project Management - Lead small teams (1-2 people) on a project basis; identify areas and strength and opportunity in others (Required) Executive Level Presentations - Contextually modulate language and message to tailor to audience (presenting up to SVP level) (Required) Licenses and Certifications
