Your mission, roles and responsibilities The Tax Analyst offers exposure to a variety of tax accounting, compliance, forecasting, and tax planning matters in the areas of U.S. federal, international, state and local taxes along with an excellent work life balance.
Faurecia North America is looking for a Tax Analyst to be located in Auburn Hills, MI.
The main missions of the role are to:
Support preparation of U.S. federal, international, and state and local corporate income tax returns and workpapers
Support preparation of monthly U.S. federal, international, and state and tax provisions
Support calculation of U.S. federal and state and local extensions and quarterly estimated payments and payment processing
Support forecasting U.S. federal, state and local tax liabilities
Assist with property tax filings and tax payment processing
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings and tax payment processing
Assist with local job tax credit and incentive applications and filings, and maintenance of supporting workpapers
Maintain and update U.S. tax calendar ensuring all compliance deadlines are met
Respond to tax notices and correspondence received from government agencies
Provide support in defending US federal, state and local audits (including income, property, and sales tax audits)
Conduct technical tax research and tax planning
Support the evolution of the tax reporting function, tax technology tools, and technological enhancements
Other special projects, as assigned
Your profile and competencies to succeed The ideal candidate will have/be:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA and/or advanced degree preferred
4+ years of tax experience with emphasis on corporate US compliance and reporting
Multi-national corporation and/or public accounting tax experience
Knowledge and understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax principles, state sales and use tax and property tax
Skills and competencies
Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines
Ability to perform work in a quality manner
Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
Excellent attitude towards manager/supervisor, employees, customers
Team player
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Knowledge of SAP reporting system (Hyperion or similar) preferred
Knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax preferred
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
