
Traveling Support Associate (Teller & Personal Banker) - Monticello Office

Traveling Support Associate - Capital City Bank • More than your bank. Your banker.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours per week.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Recommend and refer additional bank services and products, maintaining a working knowledge of all bank services and products to ensure most client inquiries are answered accurately.
Accept deposits and withdrawals from clients on business, personal and savings accounts.
Accept checks for cashing or payment, verifying endorsements and funds.
Sell Official Checks and Traveler’s Checks.
Accept consumer/commercial and other bank loan payments.
Process deposits from night depository.
Balance money in drawer with teller machine daily.
Open and close teller window in accordance with procedures.
Complete Currency Transaction Report (CTR) and hold forms as required.
Attend meetings as required.
Issue cash advances.
Commit to a six‑month position before internal posting for other positions is permitted.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA) Required
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with clients and colleagues.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring judgment.
Concentration to avoid mistakes in counting cash.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations using business machines and/or computers.
Apply initiative and work with little supervision.
Exercise sound and reasonable judgment.
Stand for long periods of time.
Print legibly and accurately on forms and records.
Sales experience preferred, particularly in cross‑marketing products and services.
Must be at least 18 years old for coverage under insurance bond.
Adhere to Bank’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
Education Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred but not required. Relevant experience may substitute. Successful completion of in‑house training or approved program is a plus.
Working Conditions
Travel to various offices; driving required.
Regular contact with clients, associates, and supervisor.
Handling of heavy coins.
Receiving currency from all sources creates a slightly unclean environment.
In the event of a major natural disaster, epidemic, pandemic, or other disruption, relocation or telecommuting may be necessary to ensure business continuity.
