Job Title Real Estate Title Agent II
Job Overview Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Title Agent II to support land and real estate operations in Jackson, MI. The role requires a strong background in land title research, real estate conveyance documentation, and due diligence review. This position is 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret a variety of real estate documents, including rights-of-way, leases, easements, licenses, releases.
Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights, identify deficiencies and recommend curative actions.
Conduct land title research using courthouse and government office records and prepare detailed chain of title reports.
Interpret and analyze land legal descriptions and create and maintain spreadsheets and documentation supporting real estate transactions.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Manage workload independently while adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Right-of-Way or Real Estate industry.
At least 1 year working directly as a Title Agent.
Proficient in interpreting legal land descriptions and settlement instruments.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
