Description Of Work Create, produce, write, and edit multi-media content for Nebraska Public Media News, with a focus on Omaha. Media content can include producing programs, segments, long and short-form news stories for radio and digital audiences, and, occasionally, television. Strong writing, digital and original storytelling skills are vital to this position.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field plus one (1) year of news reporting and/or experience in digital news production.
Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience originating, developing, writing, and producing programs for local/regional/national audiences essential.
Digital editing, news reporting, copywriting and editing skills; knowledge of current events, and computer literacy.
Strong interpersonal and researching skills necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years’ experience news reporting and experience in digital news production; equivalency considered.
On-air reporting experience, production experience and/or knowledge in news production preferred.
On-air broadcast presentation skills, ability to conduct background and broadcast interviews, producing, and investigative reporting skills.
Familiarity with podcasting helpful.
Ability to speak multiple languages a plus.
Posted Salary $41,600/year minimum
