Description Let Vaco recruiters advocate for you! We are currently seeking an experienced commercial property manager.

The Commercial Property Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintenance, and financial performance of commercial real estate properties, including office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities. This role ensures that properties are well-maintained, compliant with all regulations, and operating efficiently to maximize value and tenant satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include managing tenant relationships, responding to tenant requests and concerns, and enforcing lease terms and conditions. The Commercial Property Manager coordinates maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects, working closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers. Financial duties include preparing and managing budgets, tracking expenses, processing invoices, assisting with rent collection, and supporting financial reporting.

The Commercial Property Manager also ensures compliance with safety standards, local laws, and property regulations while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Success in this role requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting both tenant needs and ownership objectives.

Qualifications

Commercial property management experience required (not just residential)

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Strong knowledge of commercial leases, tenant relations, and property operations

Experience managing budgets, operating expenses, and financial reporting

Ability to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor contracts

Familiarity with local, state, and federal property regulations and safety standards

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties and priorities

Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
