Southeastern Directions for Life has an immediate opening for a full-time Homeless Outreach Worker at our Cliff location, Community Support Services. Our mission is 'empowering people to discover their directions for life in a changing world.' Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. Rotating on-call schedule.
JOB SUMMARY Provide services as appropriate to homeless/severely mentally ill adults. Assist with the intake process in an efficient and friendly manner. Provide supportive services as assigned, supportive housing services and therapeutic services to homeless/severely mentally ill adults and function as an active and positive member of the Community Support Services (CSS) staff. Should also demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and to perceive and encourage individual strengths.
QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred, in a human service field along with a potential or demonstrated skill and competence in mental health practice with the homeless/severely mentally ill population. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance, and a driving record acceptable to southeastern’s insurance provider. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check to include fingerprinting, Dept. of Social Services Central Registry check, Motor Vehicle background check, and drug screening.
