DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Oversight Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management to two Retail Managers Establish consistent operational standards, expectations, and accountability across all retail locations Ensure all stores operate in alignment with OWA brand standards, guest service expectations, and company policies Build and maintain a high-performing retail leadership pipeline through training, mentorship, and succession planning

Budgeting & Financial Management Assist in developing, managing, and overseeing the annual retail operating budget, including labor, inventory investment, and controllable expenses Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, margin, shrink, labor, and operating costs Partner closely with Finance to ensure compliance with budget controls, forecasting, and reporting requirements Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and return on inventory investment

Buying & Inventory Oversight Oversee retail buying strategy and inventory planning across all stores Ensure purchasing decisions align with sales performance, margin goals, seasonality, and brand positioning Maintain strong controls over inventory management, cycle counts, and reconciliation within Stratton Warren and POS systems Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to ensure all buying activity adheres to approval workflows and internal controls

Training, Development & Workforce Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records within Stratton Warren, ensuring data integrity at all times Establish and oversee training programs for retail managers, supervisors, and frontline staff Ensure consistent onboarding, product knowledge, sales training, and operational training across all stores Monitor staffing models, scheduling efficiency, attendance, and labor utilization in partnership with Retail Managers Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

Performance Metrics & Reporting Support initiatives that drive retail sales, guest conversion, and average transaction value Define, track, and analyze key retail performance metrics, including sales per capita, average transaction value, conversion, labor efficiency, and inventory turns Use data-driven insights to guide merchandising decisions, staffing strategies, and operational improvements Provide regular performance reporting and executive-level summaries as requested A proven track record of sales growth, revenue performance, or company growth is considered a strong plus

Operations & Guest Experience Ensure all retail locations remain guest-ready, safe, and operationally compliant at all times Oversee execution of merchandising standards, store presentation, promotions, and seasonal transitions Support special events, peak seasons, and resort-wide initiatives impacting retail operations

Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Leasing, Marketing, Maintenance, Purchasing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support resort-wide objectives Coordinate with Marketing on promotions, campaigns, and product features that drive retail performance Serve as the senior retail point of contact for internal stakeholders

Other Duties Perform other duties consistent with senior retail leadership roles as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred

Minimum of 8 years of retail experience in high-volume or multi-unit environments

Minimum of 5 years of progressive retail management experience, including oversight of managers

Demonstrated experience managing multiple locations or departments

Proven experience with budgeting, inventory planning, and financial performance management

Strong working knowledge of POS systems and inventory management platforms

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including use for budgeting, reporting, scheduling, and executive communication; skills assessment required

Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 50 lbs. with assistance

Valid driver’s license and required employment documentation

Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as business requires

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven track record of driving sales growth, margin improvement, or operational transformation

Experience working closely with finance and purchasing departments

Familiarity with Stratton Warren or similar enterprise inventory systems
