Central is growing and seeking an eager individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to advance in the sheet metal trade. This entry‑level position is a paid training opportunity for individuals who want to build a career and transition into our Sheet Metal Apprenticeship program.

As a Sheet Metal Laborer, you will learn the foundational elements of:

Planning, layout, fabrication, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ductwork

Using technical and mathematical skills in a fast‑paced construction environment

Supporting sheet metal journeymen and apprentices with daily installation and fabrication tasks

Reading and interpreting blueprints with guidance

Safe use of tools, equipment, and materials

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite

Qualifications:

Understands the value of jobsite safety or willingness to learn

Comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

Compliance with Central’s Drug & Alcohol Policy

Ability to lift heavy materials and tools and perform physical labor

Math skills are a must

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

GED or High School Diploma

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, climb, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds

Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Frequent overhead work

Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding for extended periods

Visual and auditory acuity required for active construction environments
