Kemble Home is an integral part of our housing and service portfolio, offering support to 22 senior women of limited means via Case Management, guidance from HSI's housing team, and a positive, safe, and enriching environment. The Mt. Kemble Home Resident Manager resides in a private unit in the recently renovated facility, providing a reliable evening/overnight presence to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents. Ideal candidates will appreciate the opportunity to support this special population while earning senior services experience and enjoying the benefit of cost-free housing in the heart of Morristown, NJ.

This is a live-in position, with required presence during overnight hours. Compensation in the form of no-cost housing and monthly stipend.

Responsibilities

Regularly inspect and assess the common living areas to ensure safety and comfort of residents, and complete associated paperwork on a timely basis.

Assist tenants through basic oversight of common facilities including answering calls, addressing lock outs, posting informational materials and making calls to emergency services as needed.

Provide accurate and timely communication of questions, concerns and applicable tenant interactions to the appropriate HSI management staff.

Interface with onsite third party vendors in coordination with HSI maintenance and/or property management staff.

Conduct tours for volunteers/interested parties as requested.

Abide by all regulations as noted in the Housing Agreement required between HSI and staff for this position.

Qualifications

Must meet overnight "operator" certification requirements as determined by the State Bureau of Rooming and Boarding Houses.

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing and use basic computer skills to accomplish required tasks.

Able to exhibit a patient and compassionate response to requests from tenants.

Able to meet on site presence requirements during applicable hours.

Experience working with senior populations is a plus.
