Shipping and Receiving Representative
to support our Cicero, IL facility. The
Shipping and Receiving Representative
is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments by performing the job duties and responsibilities to meet the quality and productivity standards. The Royal Group’s
mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers. Essential Job Functions for this Position
Arrange transportation for finished products and secure time arrival and product integrity Notify customers of order completion and shipping/delivery date Process orders in the Company system (Amtech and Commerce) entering accurately order numbers, quantity, and destination. Print out shipping documents, verifying special shipping instructions and shipping charges Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit Maintains healthy inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods on stock Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base Responsible for planning and deciding pickups by the carriers, specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow of the warehouse Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Maintain regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned to business demands Required Education / Experience
Minimum of a high school education or GED One year of manufactory-related experience in shipping and receiving Preferred Education / Experience
Professional Certificate or some college education in a related field Experience in shipping and receiving in a packaging industry Experience with Amtech and Commerce Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math A valid forklift truck operator certification Knowledge of warehouse software programs As an Industry Leader, The Royal Group Offers
