The Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for assembling customer-facing products and refurbishing customer-owned inventory to meet production goals, design specifications, and internal quality standards. This role performs hands‑on assembly and pressure testing of products and test systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure testing meets industry standards and engineering requirements. The technician maintains, troubleshoots, and improves test systems and equipment to support efficient and reliable testing operations. Responsibilities also include operating shop and testing equipment safely, following established safety protocols, and supporting material handling using forklifts and lifting devices. Additionally, the role maintains a clean, organized work environment and may assist with product delivery to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Performing the assembly and pressure testing for manufacturing production when needed within operations

Ability to work and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build high‑quality and functional test systems

Work hands‑on to get test systems functional and eliminate barriers to testing

Maintain testing equipment through scheduled maintenance and keep lab and testing areas clean

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with existing test systems to facilitate rapid iterative testing

Work individually and as a team to setup, assemble, and run pressure test programs for various HULK products to meet test qualifications outlined by industry standards or engineering team

Responsible for the refurbishment of all customer‑owned inventory ensuring weekly production goals are met while adhering to internal standards and processes

Assembly of all customer‑facing products using various supplies and hand tools in the shop ensuring that products meet design specifications

Follow established shop protocols and safety procedures to prevent damage and abuse of all supplies, equipment and tools

Safely operates fork‑lift and lifting devices for movement of parts such as crates, pallets, and dunnage’s

Responsible for the general housekeeping duties including keeping the work area clean, trash removal, floor‑sweeping, and snow removal (if necessary) on a daily and weekly basis

Accountable for operating equipment such as sandblaster, torque machine, cutter insert machine, and snow plow (if necessary) safely and responsibly, including upkeep of all equipment

Assist Operations in the delivery of products to the client site when necessary

Other general duties that may be assigned by the Shop Foreman

Qualifications

A High School degree or equivalent is required

1-3 years of related work experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Previous pressure testing experience required

Strong oral and written communication skills

Fork‑lift and telehandler experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

General computer skills and math skills necessary

Must have reliable transportation

Must be reliable and able to give sufficient notice for any scheduling conflicts

Must be flexible and able to adapt to frequent changes, delays and unexpected events

Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

Must be able to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own time effectively

Ability to multitask and prioritize work to be done when specific assignments are not given

Knows and applies basic concepts and techniques of the role

Able to work on projects outside of day‑to‑day operations

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift

Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance

Work for up to 10 hours in elements such as hot/cold warehouse/shop environment

Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage

Exposure to noise and warehouse elements

Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety‑toed shoes, safety apparel, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as necessary for task
