AIM at Melanoma Community Engagement Coordinator
Part Time Contract Position, Remote
Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Community Engagement, the Community Engagement Coordinator will assist with organizing events, coordinating volunteers, and building strong relationships with community members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Work is estimated to be approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility on when work is performed.
Key Responsibilities
Responds to questions from the community regarding AIM at Melanoma’s content and educational events
Distributes educational resources to medical offices throughout the U.S.
Maintains specialist listings from AIM’s website
Enters volunteer and shareholder contact information into Salesforce database
Assists with the logistical details of the foundation's annual professional meetings, including managing hotel reservations, arranging catering and audio-visual equipment, and communicating with panelists and attendees
Assists with the assembly and distribution of educational resources to community sun safety event volunteers
Assists in data collection for patient and sun safety educational events
Assists with other projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse community members
Strong organizational skills and familiarity with customer service software (Sales Force preferred)
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Office 365
Experience in event planning and community outreach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and creativity
Required Resources Candidate must be able to coordinate the assembly, packing and shipping of items. Candidate must have:
Wifi and cellular service
Home office set up
Cell phone
Computer
Printer
Physical space to store educational materials, sun safety materials, office supplies, and packing supplies—approximately the size of an interior closet
