Reimbursement Specialist (Finance) Under the direction of the Outpatient Billing Supervisor, the Reimbursement Specialist supports LifeWays Finance Department by ensuring timely, accurate billing and reimbursement from Medicare, third-party insurers, and self-pay accounts. This role focuses on submitting clean claims, posting payments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to maximize revenue and support organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
Generate accurate and timely billing for all insurance providers to maximize reimbursement
Submit and process electronic insurance claims; support provider claims and credentialing as needed
Post cash receipts to consumer and insurance accounts and monitor outstanding balances
Enter and maintain accurate insurance information in the LEO system
Distribute monthly self-pay statements and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)
Ensure compliance with CARF, MDHHS, and LifeWays policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of consumer and financial records
Participate in meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
