ABOUT THE CHURCH Mission Church is a vibrant, fast-growing, non‑denominational church located in Bloomingdale, Illinois, committed to
helping people find and follow Christ . With a weekend attendance of over 3,000 and a strong multi‑campus vision, Mission continues to see extraordinary momentum in “The 10”—the ten surrounding cities they intentionally seek to serve. The church has recently completed a new worship center and is now running three weekend services that are consistently full and filled with energy, expectancy, and life change. Mission’s commitment to clarity, simplicity, and theological depth—especially through courageous, relevant preaching and Spirit‑led worship—has made Mission a spiritual home for thousands of people looking for truth, hope, and authentic community.
MISSION STRATEGIC ENVS Mission Church focuses on three strategic environments:
Gather , where people encounter Christ in compelling weekend worship;
Grow , anchored in transformative experiences like the Alpha Course; and
Go , expressed through missional living and community impact. The culture is marked by high drive, humility, unity, and excellence. With new campuses planned and sustained growth across all ministries, Mission is positioned for a dynamic new season—one in which worship and spiritual formation will play an increasingly significant role.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Lead Worship Pastor leads and develops worship experiences that are Christ‑centered, Spirit‑led, and culturally accessible. This leader ensures musical and creative excellence across all campuses and ministries, fosters a culture of authentic worship, and equips worship leaders, musicians, and production volunteers to carry out the mission of the church.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and lead weekly worship services in partnership with the teaching pastor and execute with the Worship & Production Coordinators.
Lead worship at the broadcast campus; oversee worship leaders at additional campuses.
Ensure theological alignment, artistic excellence, and spiritual vitality in all worship environments.
Recruit, train, and shepherd worship team volunteers (musicians, vocalists, leaders).
Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to volunteers and staff.
Develop a volunteer leadership pipeline through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training environments fit for their level of talent.
Partner with the Teaching Pastor and Creative Team in service design, integrating music, media, and pastoral elements to create impactful experiences.
Assist with seasonal services (Easter, Christmas, Growth Track Worship) and special events.
4. Administrative & Strategic Planning
Manage scheduling, budgets, and resources for the worship ministry.
Evaluate and improve worship systems, tools, and processes across campuses.
Maintain consistency and contextualization of worship culture across sites.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Direct Reports:
Full‑time Worship and Production Coordinators, volunteer worship leaders, worship interns, and worship/production volunteers.
Collaborates With:
Teaching Pastor, Growth Track Director, Worship & Production Team.

Pastor – First Baptist Church of Vernon First Baptist Church of Vernon is prayerfully seeking a full‑time pastor to provide spiritual leadership for the church and its ministries. We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and consider ourselves a traditional congregation. The ideal candidate will guide the church in accordance with God’s Word, our church’s mission and goals, and the bylaws of First Baptist Church, Vernon.
The Church is blessed with a large auditorium, Sunday School facilities, nursery and playground, Fellowship Hall, and Parlor. Property includes a full gymnasium, racquetball court, kitchen and up‑to‑date youth facilities. Also, included is the North Star building which facilitates as a Sunday School classroom/all‑purpose facility.
Currently we have 550 active church members and have an average of 175 people attending Sunday School. (average for 2025)

Deeply committed to the authority of Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit.
Passionate about discipleship and equipping believers to grow in their walk with Christ.

Able to provide compassionate pastoral care and foster unity within the church family.
Engaged in reaching the local community with the love of Jesus Christ.
Qualifications:
A clear calling to pastoral ministry.

Ministry and preaching experience preferred.
Seminary education (completed or in progress) is encouraged.
