Overview Sev1Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vendor Relations Manager to join our service strategy team on the Space Force meshONE-T program. In this role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with OEM Vendors and Reseller's to ensure the delivery, performance, and cost-efficiency of hardware and software for meshONE-T. You will play a key role in supporting our backbone network growth, interconnection strategy, and overall service reliability. This position is based out of the Denver, CO area.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the current and new OEM vendor relationships

Keep current what products we are utilizing

Update the OEM vendor Sales team with contact information

Organize and schedule Service Strategy and Design meetings with various OEM vendors for technology updates, product updates, best practices and team building (how we can work better with our industry partners)

Maintain cost database of list price versus discounted rate across each PO. Identify ways to reduce cost with our OEM's and our VAR to further Sev1Tech buying power.

Understand Mission Partner landscape

Work with OEM vendors to host training for meshONE-T & Sev1Tech teams to further our technology knowledge and experience

Work directly with Service Strategy and Comm Engineers to verify that new solutions or circuit offerings are covered by our current OEM product line

Work with meshONE-T Lab to continually request Proof of Concept (POC) loaner gear from vendors to support early solutioning and adoption. Work with logistics to maintain 100% inventory of POC gear and maintain separation of GFE gear.

Support Strategy on technical write-ups and/or studies for meshONE-T solutions

Position Details

Position is based out of the Denver Tech Center with some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder)

Less than 10% travel out of state

Non-supervisory position

Clearance: Secret

Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

15 years of experience in COTS product sales

Strong understanding of network technologies: Ethernet, SR-MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, MACSEC

Experience with Network Management Software Tools (NetScout, NetBrain, Paragon)

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and finance teams

Qualifications

Experience working for an OEM Vendor

Experience working with Value Add Resellers

Experience with purchasing and registered deals for COTS products

Knowledge of GOCO (Government Owned Contractor Operated) environments

Understanding of Obsolescence of COTS products
