To protect, foster, develop and advance the rights and interests of people with developmental disabilities.
Adopt a House Valley Village is seeking groups and organizations that want to build long-term volunteer commitments to “adopt” our group homes. You and your group can help celebrate special occasions with treats and decorations, enjoy picnics in the park with Valley Village residents, and engage in other fun activities. Valley Village’s residents enjoy spending time with volunteers who regularly visit throughout the year to celebrate birthdays, holidays, or to engage in games or other activities. Volunteers and residents build lasting relationships and enjoy their time together.

How you help There’s a volunteer match for everybody! As an individual or a group, you can help people with developmental disabilities by volunteering as field trip assistants, to work on a project, for an event, or in the office with administrative items.
About us Valley Village was founded by a small group of parents in 1971. Today we serve more than 400 men and women with developmental challenges through semi-independent condos, 14 family-style homes, 3 homes that offer nursing care, an adult development center and 2 adult day health care centers. All of our programs are located in the San Fernando Valley and operated by a staff of over 350 people that love what they do. Please watch our mini documentary https://youtu.be/L1aSUZ6bmFg.
