To thrive as a Sales Representative with Behr, you must be organized, approachable, professional, and be ready to manage every aspect of Behr-related business in five or more Home Depot stores in your area.
Territory Sales Representative responsibilities
Our Territory Sales Representatives help us put our best foot forward, every single day. Daily, you will visit your stores and be the face of Behr. You’ll do sales, relationship-building, merchandising, ordering, and any problem solving required. With every task and interaction, you will leave someone with a positive impression of Behr and the knowledge that we genuinely want to help them do their work better.
Daily responsibilities
Hours will vary based on peak selling times. This could mean weekends, holidays, and shifts that can extend until 7 pm. We work while the consumer shops!
What a typical day looks like
Sales: A proactive approach to selling that creates value for the customer will be very important for success.
Relationships: Building relationships with Home Depot managers, associates, other Behr reps, professional contractors, and residential customers in the stores to help them with their projects.
Training: You’ll train Home Depot associates, Behr team members, and the public on Behr’s product line. You may lead a class or demonstration in the store to show customers how to properly stain a deck, paint trim, or choose the right finish. You must be comfortable speaking to groups and able to communicate clearly.
Merchandising: Keep paint chips, brochures, and products stocked and area clean to create a vibrant display. May require lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ordering: Keep stores stocked with colorants, samples, brochures, and other materials. Monitor inventory and place orders as needed.
Travel: Travel between stores regularly; track mileage for reimbursement. Be ready to provide license and insurance information upon offer.
