We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to drive growth and customer outcomes within our Capital Markets business. This role will lead a high‑performing sales team focused on serving the diverse needs of entities involved in the issuance, buying, selling, settling, and clearing of securities and derivative instruments.

Customer Base

Buy‑Side: Hedge funds, asset managers, wealth managers, and private equity firms

Sell‑Side: Investment banks and market makers

Market‑Infrastructure & Data Providers: Organizations that power the financial markets ecosystem

Across all segments, our customers share a common need for resilient and cost‑effective technological infrastructure, including advanced trading platforms, real‑time data feeds, research platforms, and risk‑management tools.

Key Job Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of sales professionals focused on Capital Markets accounts

Drive revenue growth and customer adoption across buy‑side, sell‑side, and market infrastructure segments

Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with C‑suite stakeholders at key accounts

Develop and execute territory strategies that identify whitespace opportunities and drive expansion

Partner with specialist teams to deliver tailored solutions across the trading lifecycle

Navigate complex sales cycles in organizations with conservative risk‑management cultures and stringent regulatory requirements

Foster collaboration across AWS teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for trading platforms, data analytics, HPC workloads, and risk‑management systems

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world‑class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission‑critical applications on top of AWS services. The AWS Industries team is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys. Basic Qualifications

5+ years of senior leadership, or 10+ years of technology sales experience

Experience engaging and influencing C‑level executives, both business and technical

Deep understanding of Capital Markets business models, workflows, and technology requirements

Experience selling to buy‑side and/or sell‑side financial institutions

Understanding of regulatory requirements and risk‑management considerations in financial services

Demonstrated ability to drive complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with emerging Capital Markets trends

Track record of driving measurable business outcomes for customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $168,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
