Job Description: Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing mechanical assembly, wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Essential Functions:
Use soldering irons, tweezers and other standard wiring and assembly tools in sub‑assembly and final assembly procedures.
Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics and travelers.
Use of caliper, micrometer or other measurement devices as required.
Perform mechanical assembly with hand and power tools as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience or 2‑year post‑secondary/Associate degree with 2 years relevant experience.
Ability to use a microscope to perform assembly procedures for an extended period.
Ability to work with small parts/components.
