Position Overview Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a skilled
Mechanical Inspector II
to play a critical role in ensuring product quality from start to finish. The role supports inspections across every stage of the manufacturing process, ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and purchase orders.
Responsibilities
Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the work instructions and purchase orders with an understanding of quality requirements, specifications and purchase orders.
Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
Basic understanding of GD&T and use of portable CMM (FARO, Romer, etc.).
Perform inspection and document in compliance with AS9102.
Create NCRs and ensure dispositions are completed.
Enforce company quality standards with special regard to customer satisfaction, product accuracy and appearance, and on-time deliveries.
Assist manufacturing departments in implementing quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring, continuous process improvement, and employee training.
Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test.
Participate in 5S activities as assigned.
Assist in MRB activities.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager.
Requirements As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year of inspection experience.
Use of inspection tools.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and related job documents.
AS9102 FAI experience.
Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software.
Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Basic understanding of Polyworks (or equivalent) software.
Nice to Have
Two or more years of experience in the inspection field.
Previous experience working in an ISO AS 9001 organization.
