Messenger Customer Account Specialist
The Messenger Customer Account Specialist is the champion for our customers and will ensure all customers are retained, satisfied, and wowed by providing world‑class service and solutions that exceed customer expectations. This role will work with the field sales agents in all endeavors with customers and help assist in turning prospects into Messenger customers. Customer Account Specialists will always focus on building customer relationships that enhance customer loyalty, which in turn will help increase sales.
Duties / Responsibilities
Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on an assigned product or service.
Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
Maintains all changes to customer databases and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
Uses knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of expertise to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff.
Participates in department strategy meetings or committees as appropriate.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
Exhibit a professional demeanor when interfacing with customers.
Strong knowledge of all Messenger products to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
Provide accurate information, expertise, guidance and timely solutions to customer requests, problems, quotes, and complaints utilizing available Messenger resources.
Make resolutions on all disputes over product, quality, price, and delivery with a sense of urgency to satisfy customers.
Work with the field sales agent to contribute towards achieving goals and customer satisfaction, including assisting with agent requests and communicating customer needs to the agent.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
Excellent communication skills including active listening.
Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization.
Must be team focused and determined to provide world class service.
Skills in technical support and troubleshooting a plus.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Customer service experience required.
Some experience with the product or service to which the specialist will be assigned preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
