Salary Range: $41,500 to $50,000

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Director of Ticket Sales and Operations plays a critical role in driving ticket revenue and managing daily ticket operations for the athletic department. This position requires a hands‑on professional who actively sells tickets, oversees ticketing systems and processes, and supports game‑day operations across multiple sports. The Assistant Director works closely with marketing, development, and external relations to maximize attendance, revenue, and fan experience while operating effectively in a lean, fast‑paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, organization, a customer‑focused attitude, and the ability to handle a fast‑paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ticket Sales & Revenue Generation

Generate ticket revenue through direct outbound sales efforts including season tickets, mini‑plans, group sales, and premium seating.

Manage a personal sales portfolio driven to meet or exceed established departmental revenue goals annually.

Develop relationships with alumni, corporate partners, community organizations, and campus partners to grow and advance ticket sales and attendance across ticketed sports.

Assist in the planning and execution of sales campaigns, promotional nights, and targeted outreach initiatives.

Support ticket sales and operations efforts for all assigned ticketed sports.

Customer Service

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Provide accurate information about events, including dates, times, locations, and ticket pricing.

Resolve issues related to ticketing, such as refunds, exchanges, and lost tickets, in accordance with company policies.

Ticket Ops & System Management:

Assist with the setup and management of all ticketed events in the ticketing platform (Paciolan)

Assist with the build out for upcoming events, manage inventory, pricing, seating maps, and promotional codes.

Process ticket orders, account updates, exchanges, and refunds while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Generate sales and attendance reports as requested by supervisor.

Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional ticketing policies.

Assist with event setup and operations as needed, including ticket scanning, guest check‑in, and seating arrangements.

Collaborate with event staff and other departments to ensure a seamless event experience for attendees.

Reporting and Documentation:

Generate and review sales reports, tracking performance and identifying trends.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions and feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

One year experience in ticket sales, customer service, or a related field

Proficiency with ticketing software

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must be enthusiastic, collaborative, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically

Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's Degree

Prior ticket sales or customer service experience at the college or professional level

Prior experience working with Paciolan ticketing software

Physical Requirements

The ability to work in and move about office and recreational facility setting. The ability to use a computer and other office equipment. The ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. The ability to commute to offsite locations to attend meetings. The ability to read printed materials and a computer screen. The ability to communicate in person, by email, via video, and over the telephone.
