Assistant
Account Manager
to join our
Private Client Personal Lines
team in our
Rockville, MD
office.
The selected individual will be responsible for servicing assigned personal insurance accounts in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients and sales executives to gather marketing data for new and renewal quotes.
Obtain and negotiate quotes from carriers, prepare detailed coverage analyses, and advocate for clients to achieve the best outcomes.
Deliver exceptional service through accurate and timely processing of policy documents.
Identify and execute cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to expand client coverage.
Gather information from clients and prepare applications regarding new and/or renewal coverage.
Prepare policy quotes based on client’s needs, rates and coverages.
Prepare all transactions for assigned accounts, i.e. applications, invoices, forms.
Maintain the accuracy of data in the agency management system.
May handle collections of premiums due.
Ensure receivables are maintained and proactively address past-due balances.
Stay informed on carrier systems, billing, and policy updates to provide top-tier client support.
Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business and earnings implications of the Company.
Address and resolve carrier claim challenges with support from the HUB claims team.
Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to profit objectives.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; AA and/or college degree preferred.
Previous insurance experience related to property and casualty account management preferred with focus on complex/private client risks is preferred.
Proficiency in Epic or other insurance software is a plus.
An active or ability to obtain state property and casualty insurance license is required.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.

Salary Range and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $28.20 to $35.90 hourly and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
