Job Summary Assists with Student Events that include orientation, graduations, student organizations, etc. Coordinates with vendors, faculty, students, and campus department liaisons. Coordinates review of graduation requirements and work closely with the Registrar’s office. Coordinates onboarding activities with all four schools and also admission representatives. Meets with internal departments and external vendors to assist with the planning of events. Assists with details to include all aspects of an event from start to finish. Assists with vendor relationships and contracts. Responsible for graphic design and layout of commencement brochures. Serves as a principal liaison with administrative departments. Manages and assists with collecting data and statistical information in the events management system. Acts as a backup to the Sr. Student Events Coordinator. Assist and act as a backup for management of departmental timekeeping.

Job Duties

Assists with Student Events including directing personnel and contract staff hired for each event as well as employees, volunteers, students, etc.

Meets with internal and external vendors and departments to assist with planning of events.

Assists with the details of each event to include execution of concept, venue selection, creation of guest lists, invitation and program concept and design, menu planning, decorations, physical arrangements, schedules, etc

Assists with vendor relationships.

Serves as a principal liaison with purchasing, contracts management and accounting.

Assists with crowd management.

Assists with vendor contracts for events.

Assists with collecting data and statistic on events and data entry into an appropriate software.

Acts as a backup to the Sr. Students Events Coordinator.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Experience: 1 year event planning.
