The in‑branch Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant at Limitless Lending & Investments plays a crucial role in the lending process by assisting originators in building complete loan files from submission to funding. This role involves a combination of administrative support, customer service, and loan processing duties to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
We’re seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic group of lending professionals. The ideal candidate will have several years of loan processing experience, coupled with excellent time management, customer service skills, and exceptional attention to detail. We're looking for someone passionate about helping others and committed to ethical practices.
will work directly with and support our loan origination staff. You’ll track leads daily, schedule appointments for the mortgage team, prepare and request paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the loan process.
Assist originators in setting appointments with prospective and new applicants.
Respond to new leads within 20 minutes and maintain a 37% conversion rate from lead to appointment.
Manage the originator's calendar, setting and confirming appointments.
Provide administrative support, including managing client databases, sending online pre‑qualification links, and assisting with the accurate completion of loan applications.
Analyze customers' credit and financial scenarios to determine appropriate loan products.
Run credit checks and AUS findings, preparing the Initial Fee Worksheet.
Update credit reports and AUS findings, and request status updates from pre‑approved clients and referral sources.
Stay current with company‑approved programs and software, implementing and executing new systems as needed.
Duties
Monitor key dates related to loan transactions and respond promptly.
Send loan forms, disclosures, and supporting documentation to customers, ensuring the timely collection of completed documents.
Manage the originator's database, tracking active loans and entering data as needed.
Maintain regular contact with customers to follow up on loan applications and answer inquiries.
Provide support in collecting and preparing loan applications for submission to processing.
Order necessary documents such as 4506T, SSA, Credit Supplements, Account Check, and Work Number as needed.
Assist in resolving file issues and escalating processor conditions to clear any conditions placed on loans.
Review Closing Disclosures (CD) to ensure fees and cash at closing align with customer commitments and avoid tolerance.
Provide necessary assistance during the production and underwriting process.
Update referral sources on active loans while adhering to company policies on consumer privacy and information safeguarding.
Additional Duties
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and referral sources, keeping them informed throughout the process within the guidelines of Limitless Lending & Investments' SAFE Act and Consumer Privacy/Safeguarding policies.
Price loans according to company policies and communicate fees to the operations team.
Quote rates and make locking commitments to customers.
Maintain strong relationships with referral sources through quick response times and excellent customer service.
Prepare and send thank‑you cards to referral sources and new clients.
Collect supporting documentation from customers, gathering necessary documents for pre‑approval.
Discuss product features with customers and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Active MLO licensing REQUIRED (consideration given for 5 years of experience in a brokerage).
Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness in customer interactions.
Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.
Patience and professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
Proficiency in data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Ethical with a commitment to company values.
Computer proficiency required, including MS Office; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent, is required
Highly motivated and goal‑oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills
Compensation $30,000 + Bonus
