Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and motivated
Dietary Manager
to lead the dietary services department in our skilled nursing facility. This role is ideal for an experienced dietary professional who is passionate about resident nutrition, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is preferred but not required.
Position Overview The Dietary Manager is responsible for directing, evaluating, and supervising dietary department staff while ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet individual dietary needs and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the dietary department
Manage dietary staff, including scheduling, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline as needed
Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and approved food substitutions
Ensure food preparation complies with standardized recipes and special diet orders
Review resident care plans to ensure dietary needs are met
Provide nutrition counseling with support from a Registered Dietitian
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care
Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility dietary regulations
Qualifications
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred but not required
Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare food service strongly preferred
Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
