Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; A&P, FCC, or NCATT certification preferred.
Six years of experience in sheet metal and/or hydraulic overhaul, avionics/electrical component repair, or related field.
Proficiency reading blueprints, engineering documentation, and component maintenance manuals.
Advanced knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and process techniques.
Calculator and electrical knowledge sufficient for electrical assemblies and harnesses fabrication.
Position Purpose Working independently, provide leadership and technical guidance while performing the repair and overhaul of internal and external aircraft assemblies, sub‑assemblies and components in accordance with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Repair Station requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform repair and overhaul of mission‑critical mechanical and electrical assemblies, including removal, fabrication, and installation of replacement parts.
Interpret and apply blueprints, manuals, vendor documents, and engineering dispositions to ensure compliance with Repair Station and FAA requirements.
Operate precision measurement tools, calibrate and maintain test equipment, and conduct functional and operational tests of mechanical and electrical components.
Fabricate and repair sheet metal and associated mechanical parts by rolling, shrinking, stretching, braking, and riveting.
Remove and install APUs and perform required maintenance for all GAC aircraft models.
Provide technical support to Customer Support Coordinators and Technical Services; troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
Fabricate and repair wiring, electrical assemblies, harnesses and perform pinning, splicing, soldering, and grinding of wires.
Assist with training of Aircraft Component Repair Technicians and perform other duties as assigned.
