J & K Communications, Inc. is seeking an organized, dependable, and self‑motivated professional to join our Indianapolis office team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting customers, sales, and internal operations while working both independently and collaboratively with team members.

This position serves as a key support role for office operations, customer service, and sales coordination while working closely with technical staff, purchasing, and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities This list is not all-inclusive and may expand as business needs evolve.

Customer Service & Front Office Support

Greet customers and assist with counter sales

Answer incoming calls and respond to customer emails professionally and promptly

Follow up with customers to resolve questions or concerns

Establish, update, and maintain customer records and files

Sales & Administrative Support

Assist sales representatives with quotes, invoices, scheduling, reports, and small presentations

Prepare service contracts and customer licensing documentation

Audit and monitor customer orders and service orders for accuracy and completion

Support sales and technical staff with administrative coordination

Office & Operations Management

Support day-to-day office operations and procedures

Coordinate incoming and outgoing communication (email, phone, mail)

Manage office supplies, radios, and parts inventory for the location

Collaborate with purchasing and other departments as needed

Assist with staging and auditing job boxes before and after jobs

Shipping, Receiving & Equipment Handling

Check in radios and equipment from customers, technical staff, and factory returns

Inspect incoming equipment and coordinate outgoing shipments

Handle inbound and outbound UPS shipments

Process RMAs and warranty swaps

Submit warranty claims for radio repairs and track reimbursements

Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

3–5 years of office, administrative, customer service, or sales support experience preferred

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask

Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel); Dynamics experience a plus

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
