Are you motivated by technical sales and are you interested joining a role where you will build up and enter new markets within road infrastructure? Then you might be the new Sales Engineer, we are looking for to our German office in Sweco.
You will become part of the Digital Operations & Management division, where you will work alongside approximately 140 dedicated and skilled colleagues across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany. Our primary task is to understand our customers’ needs and transform their complex day-to-day operations into digital solutions.
A Subsidiary in Germany – a part of Sweco Denmark
We are a dynamic subsidiary company based in Germany specializing in IT solutions, software development, and road infrastructure. In Germany, you will join a small but highly collaborative team where openness, trust and professionalism define our daily work. We value clear communication, shared responsibility and a culture where everyone contributes to both operational tasks and long-term development. Our team works closely across roles and disciplines, ensuring that knowledge flows freely and that decisions can be made efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our client base. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly municipalities, ensuring their needs are met with our solutions. Present and demonstrate our products to clients, clearly articulating the benefits and technical aspects. Handle the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals and post-sale support. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the alignment of sales strategies with product capabilities. Provide feedback to the product development team based on client input and market trends. Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to management. Location: You will either work from homeoffice or be located in one of our Sweco offices in Germany. The primary market focus will be the Leipzig – Weimar – Gera triangle in Central-East Germany. Qualifications Ideally you come with a technical/engineering background or sales experience within the technical field. You have 0-8 years of experience in technical sales within software and/or road infrastructure. Furthermore: Strong understanding of IT and software solutions, as well as road infrastructure. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluent in German (level C1 or higher) and English, both written and verbal. Ideally a proven track record of successful sales to municipalities and public sector clients.
