Principal Accountabilities
Troubleshooting and operating packaging equipment
Verify and record production quantities produced and/or consumed
Effectively communicate with counter-parts and management during shift exchanges
Ensure quality of the product meets Food Safety guidelines and customer specifications at packaging
Perform preventative maintenance on packaging equipment
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts as customer demand dictates
Ability to interpret and understand reports, safety/operating procedures & other policies and procedures and utilize equipment checklists
Ability to perform all phases of the packaging operation
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certified
Prior manufacturing or military experience
Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team
Ability to operate equipment related to the classification
Ability to perform lubrication, servicing and minor maintenance for equipment related to the classification
