Bilingual Customer Service Agent

Compensation
The hourly wage for this role starts at $23.64/hr.
Working Hours and Schedule
Part-time, 30 hours per week, with potential for full-time. Rotational shifts from Monday to Saturday, typically 08:30–17:00. Schedules are provided two weeks in advance.

Summary and Purpose The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate whether applicants are eligible to apply for an Ontario Driver’s Licence. This includes careful assessment of the validity of identity documents presented by applicants. In addition, the position involves providing information and support regarding Driver Examination services, with the overarching goal of ensuring that Ontario Driver’s Licences are issued both fairly and in accordance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout all Driver Examination Services, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all applicants.
Offer guidance and assistance to applicants seeking all classes of driver’s licences, addressing their queries and helping them navigate the application process.
Review applicant information thoroughly to determine eligibility for various classes of licences, following established criteria and protocols.
Conduct vision screening tests, take photographs of applicants, and administer written and/or oral knowledge tests as required for the licensing process.
Manage the scheduling and dispatching of road tests and issue temporary licences in accordance with procedural requirements.
Handle the collection of fees associated with a range of transactions related to driver licensing.
Investigate any problems or errors that arise on driver records and take necessary steps to initiate corrections promptly and accurately.
Job Requirements
A General Educational Development (GED) certificate or a high school diploma is required as a minimum educational qualification.
Applicants must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence; this requirement applies only to certain office locations.
Fluency in both French and English is essential. Candidates must be fully bilingual in these languages.
Intermediate computer skills are necessary for this role.
A minimum of one year’s experience demonstrating excellent customer service—gained in either a retail or office environment—is considered an asset.
Exceptional customer service skills are required, with the ability to handle difficult and highly complex situations effectively.
The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
Candidates must be able to process and manage sensitive personal information with discretion and professionalism.
