BASIS Ed Central Office is seeking talented candidates for a Graphic Designer II to join our Marketing and Design team!
The Graphic Designer II will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Design department to create engaging and informative visual content across various platforms. You'll be responsible for translating complex information into clear and compelling visuals that support our educational mission and brand aesthetic.
The Graphic Designer II is a design professional responsible for creating high-quality visual assets that support the organization’s brand, marketing initiatives, and communications strategies. This role combines creativity and technical expertise to deliver print and digital materials, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to brand consistency and innovation. The Graphic Designer II works independently on individual projects while receiving guidance on complex or high‑profile assignments.
Essential Functions
Design & Production:
Develop compelling graphics, layouts, and multimedia assets for print, web, email, social media, presentations, events, and other channels.
Prepare press‑ready artwork and ensure proper formatting for print production.
Create templates, style guides, and reusable design assets to maintain brand consistency.
Brand Stewardship:
Apply and uphold brand standards across all creative output.
Contribute ideas to evolve brand visuals and design systems.
Partner with marketing team to translate strategic goals into effective design solutions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on‑time delivery and high‑quality execution.
Provide mentorship or feedback to junior designers when needed.
Creative Innovation:
Research design trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization’s creative work fresh and engaging.
Recommend design strategies to improve user engagement and visual storytelling.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of professional design experience in an agency, in‑house, or related environment.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with Figma, Canva, or similar design tools.
Knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, and design best practices.
Experience designing for both print and digital platforms, including responsive layouts.
Understanding of production processes for print and web.
Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or animation tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
Knowledge of UX/UI principles and web design.
Familiarity with project management software (Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.).
Experience in photography, illustration, or other complementary creative skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact.
