Responsibilities

Interview, hire, supervise, train, motivate, and provide performance management of Reception/Concierge services.

Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the ongoing operation of the Resident Services department, including budget management.

Seek new programs and processes for revenue enhancement; forecast and plan changes for department development.

Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for all department tasks.

Ensure full compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and assist in regulatory surveys and inspections.

Participate in natural work teams for QAPI and resident satisfaction.

Complete, review, and submit all plans, monthly reports, surveys, and forms as appropriate.

Attend workshops, seminars, meetings, and training programs to stay current.

Maintain residents’ rights, confidentiality, and support emotional, educational, social, and spiritual needs.

Coordinate resident support groups and provide case management, referral, crisis intervention, and resources to residents and families.

Act as community designee for RCFE resident complaints, Theft and Loss, and Customer Grievance programs; maintain concern logs.

Educate residents on expectations, provide orientations, and review and update the Resident Handbook.

Act as liaison between residents and management, report concerns to staff and families.

Participate in Resident Review process and transition to higher levels of care.

Assist Activity Department in planning and leading educational programs.

Supervise contracted services for Beauty Salon and Spa Salon; collaborate with clinic and outside providers.

Oversee workplace safety and risk control, report and investigate injuries.

Perform other duties as assigned, including Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required.

Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in aging or related fields with geriatric population.

Knowledge of OBRA regulations, Title 22, and Division 5 and 6 California Administrative Code.

Ability to interpret and comply with health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

Knowledge of advance directives and ability to counsel residents and responsible parties.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with tact, courtesy, patience, and understanding when dealing with residents under challenging conditions.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

$82,500 – $97,000 per year
