Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager is to maximize sales of targeted products, uncover opportunities, and drive sales growth in the South Georgia market. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing new accounts while maintaining existing business. The sales manager will work with the VP/GM and President to execute sales strategies in the market area, utilizing a dedicated internal and external sales teams as well as customer support. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

MidSouth Aggregates is looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in the South GA area. The Sales Manager reports to the President of Southern Atlantic Aggregates and is responsible for developing and maintaining favorable relationships with current and potential customers, achieving sales goals of our aggregates products business, developing short- and long‑term sales strategies and plans to increase sales volume and profit margins. Manage a team of Account Managers to drive new business and grow existing accounts in the market. Achieve or exceed planned sales levels for all products and services within targeted markets and accounts. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the entire product line, product changes, selling strategies, competitive surveillance methods, expense control, etc. Sell products to business and industrial establishments or individuals using knowledge of the products sold. Develop strategy and tactics that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability in key markets through assigned geography. Establish annual sales projections by product and recommend sales programs to reach sales projections. Analyze market potential, including competitive pricing, customer profiles, activities, market trends, demand forecasting, and other relevant facts. Manage the budget and forecast for the market area, controlling selling expenses within the budget. Collaborate with other departments (Quality Control, Production, Operations, Transportation, and Accounting) to ensure every account receives the highest level of customer service. Communicate with the sales teams to manage and coordinate sales to customers who overlap geographic boundaries and markets, and to leverage the CRH portfolio across company boundaries. Conduct negotiations with suppliers and vendors as needed. Increase sales volume for the company's products and services while meeting profit margin goals and maintaining the sales expense budget. Compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various sources. Actively participate in industry and product‑related associations, training programs, conferences, seminars, and educational forums to develop and maintain key networking and business relationships. Maintain regular, predictable attendance at assigned times. Other duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales/Marketing position or an equivalent customer‑service focus. Salesforce experience preferred, not required. Demonstrate strong business acumen in sales and marketing and/or the construction market; be knowledgeable about current and future industry trends. Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers – both internal and external. Proactive, self‑motivated, self‑starter who is action oriented and drives for results. Foster a collaborative, team‑based approach. Highly ethical. Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of people within the Company and in a sales capacity. Drive and self‑discipline to work independently within territory to accomplish goals. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Work Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check. Residency within assigned territory is required. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Display a professional and courteous attitude toward co‑workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Willingness to travel and work away from home when required (up to 50%). Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary. Ability to work without close supervision. Prior construction sales experience minimum 7 years, preferred. Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Highly developed oral, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to work with management. Effective communication with others and assimilation of information in a manner consistent with essential job functions. Ability to coach high‑level sales behavior using Salesforce and other tools. Demonstrate effective skills in dealing with employees at all levels. Self‑starter and ability to operate under general guidelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Ability to give presentations to large audiences. Ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and suppliers. Ability to provide and understand detailed information. Ability to analyze issues independently. Ability to perform under deadline pressure. Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions. Ability to maintain attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Physical Requirements

Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, talk, and hear. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
