Regional Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities

Prospect for and identify new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, networking, cold calling, tradeshows, seminars, and trainings

Qualify leads and convert prospects into long‑term customers

Deliver engaging sales presentations that clearly communicate product features, benefits, and value

Meet and exceed individual and team sales quotas

Execute sales strategies to increase revenue per customer and overall market share

Customer Relationship Management

Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customers and decision‑makers

Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products

Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, applications, pricing, and industry trends

Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues creatively and professionally

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with a customer‑first mindset

Product & Market Expertise

Apply technical product knowledge to match solutions to customer requirements

Stay informed on market trends, competitive factors, and customer buying behaviors

Continuously learn about products, the swimming pool industry, and related technical applications

Pricing, Quotes & Order Management

Prepare and provide quotes, bid specifications, credit terms, and sales proposals

Negotiate pricing, sales terms, and service agreements within company guidelines

Prepare contracts and submit orders accurately

Collaborate with account executives, operations, and internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely product distribution

Reporting, Data & Process Improvement

Maintain accurate customer and prospect data in the CRM system

Regularly report on sales results, pipeline activity, account status, and forecasts

Use sales data and performance metrics to improve results and inform leadership

Suggest improvements to sales processes, tools, and strategies

Collaboration & Professional Conduct

Partner with Marketing and other departments to support effective sales initiatives

Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and good judgment at all times

Treat all customers, partners, and colleagues with respect and dignity

Manage company resources responsibly, especially related to travel and expenses

Complete required travel planning approvals and provide post‑travel summaries

Other Duties

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives

Job Requirements Sales & Industry Experience

Proven track record of success in sales

Experience in the swimming pool industry is beneficial; ability to learn quickly is required if no prior industry experience

Comfort selling technical or specialized products

Skills & Competencies

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Strong sales, negotiation, and closing abilities

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to build trust and maintain long‑term customer relationships

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using CRM platforms to manage leads, accounts, and sales activity

Physical & Travel Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer

Ability to safely operate a vehicle

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend tradeshows or industry events

Travel to meet with builders and prospective customers. Travel may fluctuate throughout the year.
