Sales Rep Trainee
in
Huntington, IN
and
Greenfield, IN!
Seeking a motivated candidate willing to learn sales in the packaging industry!
As a
Sales Representative , you are responsible to promote and make sales to customers of products offered by our company. Expectation is to do this by establishing and maintaining good customer relationships, understanding and utilizing Design and Customer Service team synergies and general knowledge of our market and competitive environment.

Essential Job Functions
Observe sales process by traveling with sales representatives, attending sales and service calls.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational improvement opportunities; reading sales and marketing publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in sales and marketing organizations.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Practice sales process by calling on existing and then new accounts; adhering to established sales steps.
Gain knowledge of products, machine limitations and costing variables by completing rotation at different plants/departments.
Follow up on customer specifications in regard to particular orders.
Assist in preparing annual sales budget forecasts.
Knowledge of and comfort using Windows and MS office.
Implement, maintain and support all company policies and procedures, including safety programs and good housekeeping.
Work with sales manager in coordinating and determining feasibility for new projects.
Work with Estimating department on new opportunities.
Work with Design department to develop customer solutions.
Work with Sales team to strategize sales growth.

Required Education / Experience
High school graduate or equivalent with related college education or heavy college coursework.
Preferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience and knowledge of corrugated production and converting machinery.
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and ability to drive; able to unload and load samples from vehicle.
Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to work overtime as the job requires.
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, profits, proportions, percentages and volume.
Excellent communication skills with customers and employees.
Ability to speak effectively to employees, managers, customer, etc.;
Ability to lead meeting competently and answer questions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports, emails and correspondence clearly and effectively.
Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
