Job Description The Relationship Manager IV – Commercial Banking is primarily responsible for the sales of various financial products and the servicing of commercial loans to middle-market privately owned businesses. This position requires strong knowledge of the commercial underwriting approval processes. Advanced knowledge of Wealth Management products, Treasury Services, deposit offerings and the other bank services. Responsible for managing portfolios, which include the largest, most profitable customer relationships. Provides more junior officers with functional guidance.

How You'll Spend Your Time

You will develop and execute relationship management and business development plans for customers and prospects.

You will schedule business development calls and manage customer and prospect databases.

You will identify needs and solutions during appointments and monitor existing customer relationships.

You will issue and negotiate new relationship and cross‑selling proposals, focusing on Wealth Management, Treasury Services, and deposit attraction.

You will monitor and manage existing credit relationships, including renewals, financial analysis, and compliance.

You will serve as the primary link for all financial services to individual clients and resolve operational problems.

You will oversee credit approval, documentation, and booking processes, including loan proposals and presentations to loan committees.

You will provide training and serve as a resource for less experienced loan officers, and participate in community activities to enhance the bank's image.

Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years’ experience in commercial lending or 14–16 years’ equivalent experience.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices and loan documentation, and loan servicing requirements

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry

Advanced understanding of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy, and regulations

Advanced knowledge of financial analysis including ratio and trend analysis and projections

Specialized knowledge of specific markets in order to serve defined territories

Advanced knowledge of Wealth Management and Treasury Services products.

Ability and knowledge to sell the entirety of the bank.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations

Good PC skills including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
