Shipping & Receiving Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: East Greenbush, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00–$28.00/hour
Status: Temp-to-hire, full-time hours

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process domestic and international shipments accurately and on time
Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and import/export regulations
Coordinate shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers
Receive incoming materials, verify against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and store appropriately
Maintain inventory accuracy using SAP‑based systems (Epicor)
Support both receiving and shipping functions as business needs shift
Communicate regularly with internal teams and external carriers
Assemble or select appropriate packaging materials
Follow FIFO material handling practices within manufacturing areas
This role requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials up to 85 lbs.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience, including internal freight
Requires international shipping and compliance requirements
Experience working an MRP system
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Sense of urgency, accountability, and reliability
Self‑starter mindset with interest in learning and improving processes
Candidates from printing shops, FedEx or UPS counter roles, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments are often a strong fit.
Education and Screening
High School Diploma or GED required
Background check and drug screen
